Vaccination for Cervical Cancer

Cervical cancers are associated with human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually transmitted infection. Gardasil 9 is a vaccine against HPV that can be used by both girls as well as boys. This vaccine can be given to children as early as 9 years of age. 

Prevention

Cervical cancer is successfully preventable and treatable form of cancer, only if it is diagnosed early and effectively. The earlier your cervical cancer is detected, the higher the chances of your survival. HPV vaccines protect against common cancer-causing human papilloma virus that can further reduce or prevent the risk of cervical cancer.
