Screening For Down's Syndrome

Down Syndrome is one of the common chromosomal conditions a baby is born with. The most common cause of Down Syndrome is when out of 21 chromosomes, an extra one randomly appears in the egg or sperm. Babies with Down Syndrome have various symptoms such as low muscle tone, flatter face with eyes slanting upward, small ears and a wider neck, single crease across the palm of hand, a visible gap between the first and second toes.
